According to the Daily Mail, Watford are now willing to part ways with striker Troy Deeney and will listen to offers.
It’s claimed that Watford have made attempts to keep Deeney, but he sees himself as a Premier League player – and the Hornets have now reluctantly accepted that he is likely to go.
Watford will let their captain go if a good enough offer arrives, with a season-long loan move allegedly being considered.
That would allow Deeney to play in the Premier League this season, before returning to Watford next summer – possibly after they have returned to the top flight themselves.
So where could Deeney go? Well, one club he has been linked with is Tottenham Hotspur, who are in the market for a new striker this summer.
Jose Mourinho is looking for a target man to come in and offer cover behind Harry Kane, and Deeney could offer a physical, battle-hardened option from the bench.

The Daily Mail reported last month that Spurs have discussed a loan deal with Watford, in the hope of bringing Deeney to the club.
The 32-year-old scored 10 Premier League goals last season, and offers the leadership and character that Mourinho would like – and this latest update suggests that Spurs could get Deeney if they really want him.
