According to the reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Premier League club Watford have made a formal move to sign Genoa’s high, exciting, young forward, Giovanni Simeone.
The report states that Watford have made contact with the Serie A club over a possible move, and are keen to land him this summer.
Simeone, the son of Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, has enjoyed a breakthrough 2016/17 campaign with Genoa, scoring 12 Serie A goals.

Watford are looking to add depth and quality to their forward department, and Marco Silva probably sees the 21-year-old as perfect fit for the club.
However, Watford are not alone in the race. In Italy, Fiorentina are reportedly keen to secure his signature. Also, there’s a possibility of Everton making a late move as well.

Back in March, TMW claimed that Everton are exploring the possibility of signing Simeone, as a potential replacement of Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian striker has time and again made it clear that he will leave Everton this summer, with Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly vying for his signature.
Simeone would be a solid addition to the Everton squad, but it seems Watford are showing strong desire to secure his services.
