Everton boss Marco Silva worked with Abdoulaye Doucoure at Watford and now wants him at Goodison Park.

Everton have seen a £30 million bid rejected for Doucoure, and Watford intend to bat away any other offers the Toffees make before now and deadline day.
Watford would be prepared to offload Doucoure to a top six club, but apparently don’t think that Everton poses much of a step up from Vicarage Road.
Marco Silva could now be left to look at other midfield options, as he looks to cover for the departure of Idrissa Gueye.
Doucoure is said to be willing to leave Watford, but the Hornets will only sell if a club in the established top six make a bid.

Doucoure could have been a fine addition to Everton’s squad, as he would have offered power and no shortage of technical ability to the Toffees’ midfield ranks.
Whether Everton will now go after another midfielder before Thursday’s deadline remains to be seen.
