The Greek defender has not been a regular starter for Watford this season.
Reports in Turkey are suggesting that Watford left-back Jose Holebas is a target for Turkish giants Fenerbahce this summer.
Fanatik is reporting that the Istanbul club is targeting the Greek international as a potential replacement for the departing Caner Erkin – who is out of contract at the club this summer.
Holebas joined up with Watford last summer after a stint with AS Roma. Holebas, who has 34 caps for the Greek national team, has had his moments in a Watford shirt but has not truly established himself at the club.
He has played just 13 times for the club this season with Dutch youngster Nathan Ake being a preferred option – although he did manage to recently score his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw with Everton at Vicarage Road.
Of course his future might very well hinge on the future of Quique Sanchez Flores – who looks like being on his way out of the Hertfordshire club despite leading the club to Premier League survival and an FA Cup semi-final.
If Flores does arrive then another manager might see Holebas as a regular going forward and decide to keep hold of the 31-year-old.
