Watford and Leicester City are reportedly interested in Karl Toko Ekambi.

According to reports from L’Equipe (printed edition; press reader), Leicester City and Watford are chasing Angers forward Karl Toko Ekambi in the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old scored seven times for the French club, and is reportedly considering his options.

French clubs – Rennes and Bordeaux – have also registered their interest, and are keen to sign him as well.

Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare looks on during the pre-season friendly match between Luton Town and Leicester City at Kenilworth Road on July 26, 2017 in Luton, England.

The report claims that the 24-year-old forward, who operates mainly from wide areas, is being watched by the two aforementioned Premier League clubs.

Despite the reported interest, Angers are keen to keep the player at the club, and may not consider a sale unless they get proper replacements.

Leicester City are reportedly close to signing Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City, but Craig Shakespeare may require more attacking depth ahead of the 2017/18 Premier League campaign.

The Leicester boss may look to add players in wide areas, especially if Riyad Mahrez leaves the club this summer.

Watford have bolstered their midfield and defensive areas this summer, but Marco Silva could be looking to add depth to his attacking set up.
