The 19-year-old Senegalese defender has impressed for Avellino this season.

Reports in Italy are suggesting that Watford and Leeds United are both keeping tabs on talented Senegalese centre-back Layousse Diallo – as reported by OttoPagine.
The Senegalese teenager has been fantastic for Serie B side Avellino and has seemingly caught the eye of English clubs Watford and Leeds – who are both owned by Italians and have good links in the Italian transfer market.
Diallo, who can play at both left-back and centre-back, has been superb for the club since arriving as a free transfer from Fiorentina this summer.
Watford manager Walter Mazzarri
He has played five times in Serie B so far for the club and is currently under contract until the summer of 2019.
He spoke about his future to OttoPagine:
“The interest of many big clubs in me? Sincerely focused on Avellino.
“I have to correct some flaws, they tell me I’m too impulsive. I’ll try to improve. My natural role is to left-back and that’s why my idol is (Real Madrid’s) Marcelo.”
Watford boss Walter Mazzarri reportedly watched him whilst in his previous role as Napoli boss.
Bristol City’s Bobby Reid and Leeds’ Charlie Taylor in action
The report also claims that Leeds United, as well as Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, are keeping tabs on the player.
The 19-year-old could certainly be seen as a potential replacement for Charlie Taylor, with Leeds’ current left-back currently out of contract in the summer.
Watford meanwhile will see Diallo as a potentially perfect player to feature as part of a back-three – which Mazzarri plans to implement long-term at Vicarage Road.
