Neil Warnock wants to reunite with Kadeem Harris at Middlesbrough this summer with Reading and Watford also interested in signing the Sheffield Wednesday winger, as reported by the Telegraph.

Boro snapped up Nathaniel Mendez-Laing on deadline day last month and, with just a few weeks until the summer window swings open, are weighing up a move for another jet-heeled winger who secured promotion under Warnock in 2018.

Harris was one of the few bright sparks during Cardiff’s short-lived spell back in the Premier League.

Even Warnock himself did not expect to see the old-school, chalk-booted wide man make such an impression at the very top of the British game.

“I didn’t think I’d ever play him if I’m honest,” the then-Bluebirds boss told the BBC after Harris’s stunning strike against Brighton.

“He’s been the best player in training for the last six weeks, he’s been an absolute breath of fresh air for me as a manager. I’ve had no option but to bring him into the squad.

“Because I thought every time he got (the ball) he was dangerous. He was as good as anybody on the pitch today.”

With Harris out of contract in July, and with Sheffield Wednesday sliding into League One, the 27-year-old will not be short of offers during the summer.

The Telegraph claims that promotion-chasing Reading and Watford are also interested in the former Brentford attacker.

Harris produced three goals and four assists for Wednesday in 2020/21 but his numbers have declined in a side who look destined for the drop.
