Nottingham Forest are reportedly planning a bid for St Mirren ace Lewis Morgan.

According to The Scottish Sun, Nottingham Forest will step up their interest in St Mirren talent Lewis Morgan after scouting him against Morton on Saturday afternoon.
Morgan, 21, has been emerging as one of the top young talents in Scottish football over the last year, having notched ten goals in 46 games last term before making a blistering start to this term.
The midfielder has hit eight goals in just 16 games for St Mirren this season, and his exploits in the second tier of Scottish football are unsurprisingly attracting interest.

The Daily Mail recently reported that Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are both keen on signing Morgan, with the latter hoping to re-sign him having previously developed him in the Ibrox academy.
Now, The Scottish Sun claim that Nottingham Forest will step up their interest in signing Morgan, after scout Frank McParland watched him in action in the 2-2 draw with Morton over the weekend.
McParland saw Morgan win a penalty and help set up St Mirren’s second goal, with Forest now believed to be preparing a £400,000 January bid to sign Morgan.

The Scotland Under-21 international is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning he could pen a pre-contract agreement elsewhere in January, or St Mirren could cash in when the transfer window re-opens.
Whilst Rangers may still be keen even after sacking Pedro Caixinha, they may now face a stern battle from former Gers Warburton and McParland ahead of the January transfer window.
