Three Championship clubs have already registered offers for the Newcastle United goalkeeper.
Newcastle United goalkeeper Rob Elliot will ask to leave St. James’ Park on loan this month – if he remains third choice, according to the Daily Mail.
The Irish Sun reported on Friday that three Championship clubs have already made bids to borrow the 30-year-old, although the trio – Cardiff City, Wigan Athletic and Rotherham United – have since signed alternatives.
It was also claimed that a number of ‘bigger’ second-tier sides are lining up summer moves instead.

Elliot was crowned Newcastle player of the season in May, but only recently returned from a 10-month lay-off which saw him miss Euro 2016.
Since then, the Irishman has fallen behind both Karl Darlow and Matz Sels in the Magpies’ pecking order, although manager Rafa Benitez is said to want the trio to continue fighting it out to become his number one.

According to the Irish Sun, however, Elliot is keen to wrestle back his international place from West Ham’s Darren Randolph, and spell away from Newcastle United would likely increase his chances.
