According to The Sunday Post, Walter Mazzarri is interested in becoming the new Celtic manager following Neil Lennon”s exit.
Lennon left the club on Wednesday morning following a dismal season, with John Kennedy in caretaker charge until a replacement is found.
A number of names have been linked in recent days, and another can be added to the list with Mazzarri keen.
It’s claimed that Mazzarri is willing to listen to any offer from Celtic, believing they are a huge club and majorly appealing.
Mazzarri, 59, is currently out of a job having left Torino in February 2020, meaning he has spent more than a year out of the game.
Mazzarri had strong spells in charge of Sampdoria and Napoli, but didn’t fare quite so well with Inter Milan in 2013.
The Italian moved onto Watford and then Torino, and seems desperate to get back into the game, with Celtic a particularly interesting job to him.

One fascinating note is that Mazzarri actually managed a Celtic favourite in the past, leading Shunsuke Nakamura to stardom at Reggina.
Celtic pounced to snatch Nakamura from Mazzarri in 2005, and the Italian’s next step may be to become Bhoys manager, where he would hope to become a favourite – just like Nakamura did.
