Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart and Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford.
According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur would be interested in Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart if Hugo Lloris leaves the club – but with concerns over the finances involved, Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford is also wanted.
Spurs have had almost no problems in goal in recent years, as Hugo Lloris – a signing from Lyon in the summer of 2012 – has been Tottenham’s clear first-choice goalkeeper ever since his move.

With almost 200 appearances for Spurs since joining more than four years ago, Lloris has been vital for Tottenham, establishing himself as one of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League and in Europe, whilst even being named Spurs captain.
However, there are concerns over his contract situation at White Hart Lane, and The Sun report that he could force a move away from the club at the end of the season if Tottenham don’t qualify for the Champions League, with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid believed to be interested in signing him in a big-money move.

The report claims that Tottenham have started to identify potential replacements for Lloris in case he does leave, and two English goalkeepers are at the top of their wish list; Joe Hart and Jordan Pickford.
Hart, 29, racked up more than 300 appearances for Manchester City but was made surplus to requirements by Pep Guardiola over the summer, and chose to make the surprise move to join Italian side Torino on a season-long loan deal.
Hart has impressed in Italy and subsequently kept his position as England’s first-choice goalkeeper, and with little to no long-term future at the Etihad Stadium, Hart appears to be in line to leave City permanently next summer.

However, it’s claimed that Tottenham won’t match Hart’s wages, and the financial implications of a deal for him mean that other, cheaper alternatives have been considered, including Pickford.
The 22-year-old has become one of the Premier League’s most impressive young goalkeepers this season, producing a number of impressive displays for a struggling Sunderland side, and earning call-ups to the England squad as a result.
A superb shot-stopper with outstanding distribution, Pickford will attract great interest from Premier League rivals in 2017, and it’s stated that Spurs are ready to make their move for the goalkeeper should Lloris leave next summer, with Tottenham still focusing on English talent under Mauricio Pochettino.
