According to Tuttosport, Arsenal have until midday to decide whether they will sign Julian Draxler or Mirko Vucinic.
Arsenal’s winter transfer window is headed for a dramatic conclusion as the Gunners are linked with two very different deals.
Schalke’s Julian Draxler has a release clause at £37m and is seen as one of the most promising talents in Europe.
While Arsenal have reportedly attempted to get that valuation down in recent weeks, it is believed that the Gunners are on the brink of agreeing to spend £37m to get their man.
The other deal on the table is much more economical but much less exciting for the Arsenal support.
Arsenal have allegedly already agreed a loan deal with Juventus to bring unsettled striker Mirko Vucinic to the Emirates until the end of the season.
Vucinic was expected to be part of a deal for Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin, but that fell though and he is now desperate to find a new club.
Although the two targets play different roles, Tuttosport believes that if Arsenal decide to sign Draxler, they will surely call the Old Lady to call off the Vucinic arrangement whereas if they agree to take Vucinic it is a clear sign that they are retreating from Draxler.
However, other sources have suggested that Arsenal could simply sign both Draxler and Vucinic.
