The Italian goalkeeper spent four years with Sunderland.

According to a report from Football.London, ex-Sunderland goalkeeper Vito Mannone is on the verge of joining MLS side Minnesota United on a short-term deal until the end of the year.
The 30-year-old joined the Black Cats from Arsenal in the summer of 2013, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £1.5 million, and he went on to rack up 80 appearances in all competitions for the Wearside outfit.
Mannone was a consistent performer for Sunderland, but he never really hit the heights that were expected of him when he was a young player coming through the ranks at Arsenal.

He left the Stadium of Light for Reading in the summer of 2017, but it seems as though his time at the Madejski Stadium will be cut short, according to a report from Football.London, with a move to MLS side Minnesota United, currently managed by Everton legend Adrian Heath, looming large.
At just 30-years-old, Mannone still has plenty of time left ahead of him, and Sunderland fans will surely be keeping a keen eye on how the Italian fares in America.
