Aston Villa boss Dean Smith is not prepared to pay Brentford’s asking price for either Said Benrahma or Ollie Watkins, The Sun report.
Watkins and Benrahma are both among Villa’s top targets this summer, but at their current prices, the claret and blues boss isn’t keen.
Brentford are demanding a staggering £55 million for the pair, which could force Villa into looking at other options.
Harry Wilson is believed to be one player Villa are looking at, as they pursue cheaper avenues.
That could be a disappointment to Watkins, as the Sun claim that he is keen on a move to Villa.
The striker has worked with Dean Smith before, and is a big fan of Villa boss’s managerial style.

Watkins was the joint top scorer in the Championship last season, with 26 goals (BBC Sport), and if Villa don’t land him this summer it is likely to be a huge disappointment.
Smith’s side clearly need a finisher added to their squad, as none of their striking options scored with any regularity last season.
Benrahma, meanwhile, would increase Villa’s threat from out wide, with the winger one of the most skilful players in the Championship.
