According to the Daily Mail, Eupen winger Henry Onyekuru has spoken to Chelsea’s Victor Moses about West Ham United as he pushes for a move to the London Stadium.

The Hammers have already tied up one deal this summer by snapping up defender Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer from Manchester City, but attacking reinforcements will be needed too.

Gokhan Tore and Jonathan Calleri have both returned to their parent clubs after failed loan spells, whilst speculation also surrounds the futures of Sofiane Feghouli, Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho.

The Daily Mail report that West Ham now want to sign Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru, with the club attempting to push through a deal worth almost £8million after his impressive season in Belgium.

The 20-year-old Nigerian ace smashed 24 goals in all competitions for Eupen this past season, and looks set for a big move to England just two years after joining Eupen from the Aspire Academy.

It’s even claimed that Onyekuru has spoken to compatriot Victor Moses, who spent the 2015-16 season on loan at West Ham from Chelsea – and Moses has allegedly encouraged Onyekuru to make the move to the London Stadium.

Onyekuru himself is already believed to be keen on joining Slaven Bilic’s men due to the first-team opportunities on offer there, and Moses’ endorsement should put West Ham in the driving seat for Onyekuru’s signature.

With versatility to play out wide or up front and cause problems with his blistering pace, Onyekuru could be an important signing for West Ham. He has huge potential and is coming off a superb season in Belgium, so whilst he isn’t a big-name addition, he could make a huge impact for years to come if West Ham do wrap up the deal.
