Newcastle United’s takeover effectively remains on track, according to the latest encouraging update in the Chronicle.
Newcastle’s potential new owners are said to be unfazed by the latest delay, after new information was passed to the Premier League about them.
There were also concerns from other Premier League sides raised about Newcastle’s takeover bid.
However, it is claimed that views of other sides are not taken into account by the Premier League, and they can have no influence on the top flight’s decision.

Newcastle’s new owners, therefore, may have had another road-block put in their path but it is far from an unclimbable hurdle.
The Chronicle now suggest that although the process has been a slow one for Newcastle, there is still no reason to panic that the deal won’t eventually be approved.
If Newcastle’s takeover does go through the news will be wildly celebrated at St. James’ Park, with Magpies supporters very excited about the potential for having new owners at the helm next season.
