According to Gazet van Antwerpen, Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants to bring Zeb Jacobs to Rangers after replacing Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.
What’s the story?
Well, Van Bronckhorst has already summoned Roy Makaay, Arno Phillps and Yori Bosschart to Ibrox, and now he wants another backroom addition.
Jacobs, who is currently working as Head of Development at Royal Antwerp, is said to be the subject of ‘tangible’ interest from Rangers.
Gazet van Antwerpen add that Rangers hope to complete his arrival soon, as they are ‘pulling on the sleeve’ of the 26-year-old.
Jacobs would come in as a replacement for Graeme Murty, who left Ibrox just a matter of days ago following Gerrard’s move to Aston Villa.
Who is Rangers target Zeb Jacobs?

If the Gers can bring Jacobs to Ibrox, it would be a very smart move.
The 26-year-old is highly thought of in Belgium, with Gazet van Antwerpen describing him as one of the better trainers in Belgian football.
Additionally, Monaco recently snapped up Pascal De Maesschalck from Club Brugge, so big clubs on the continent are clearly keeping an eye on development coaches emerging from Belgian football.
By the sounds of it, Jacobs has an excellent reputation in the game, and would be a fine addition to Van Bronckhorst’s staff.

It’s also encouraging to see that Rangers hope to complete his arrival soon, just days after Murty departed.
The Gers also moved swiftly to hire Van Bronckhorst – it must be said, the reaction to Gerrard’s exit has been impressive from Rangers.
For now, keep an eye on this situation, as Jacobs could be at Rangers in a matter of days – only time will tell.
