Newcastle United’s Ayoze Perez played a key role for Rafa Benitez last season.

La Liga giants Valencia are reportedly keen on the services of Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez, according to a report.
Spanish outlet Cope have claimed that 25-year-old Perez, who earns £45k-a-week at St James’ Park [Spotrac], is ‘delighted’ that the Metallica club are interested in him.
Versatile attacker Perez was a standout performer for Rafa Benitez’s side during the recently concluded Premier League campaign and the Magpie supporters will want to keep hold of their top talents.
It remains to be seen whether Benitez is still at St James’ Park next season and if he is then it’ll increase the chances of the key players also staying on at the club.
Over the course of the season, Perez played 37 league games for the North East club, scoring an impressive 12 goals and supplying two assists from out wide and behind the main striker.
It helped Newcastle to a 13th-placed finish and despite Benitez having a limited amount of money to spend, once again he had done a pretty good job at the club.

As for Valencia, after seasons of trouble in Spain’s top-flight, which included the disastrous appointment of Gary Neville, they put themselves back on the map.
They finished in the top-four and following that successful campaign, they will now be hoping to push on and produce the goods in the Champions League.
If Valencia do push for a potential deal for Perez then it’ll make it very difficult for Perez to turn down a chance to return to his home land and play in Europe.
