Leeds United are on the look out for at least two new strikers to replace Chris Wood, who has joined Burnley.

According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are looking to sign at least another two strikers – following Chris Wood’s departure.

Leeds have been tasked with replacing their main goalscorer, after he left to join Burnley yesterday.

Wood netted 30 times for the Whites last season, and covering for the loss of that volume of goals will be a tough test for Thomas Christiansen’s side.

Leeds are now believed to want a minimum of two strikers, as Leeds look to increase their attacking quality.

The Whites have immediately gone after Middlesbrough forward Rudy Gestede, but getting a deal for him over the line is proving to be problematic.

Leeds are also interested in 19-year-old Dutch forward Jay-Roy Grot of NEC Nijmegen.

Leeds are in action this evening, when they take on League Two side Newport County in the Carabao Cup.
