Nottingham Forest are set to appoint Martin O’Neill as Aitor Karanka’s successor.

Keane and O’Neill teamed up with the Republic of Ireland, and now could be reunited as a pairing at the City Ground.
Forest are set to appoint O’Neill in the near future, with the 66-year-old now hoping that Keane will join him.
O’Neill also wants Steve Guppy on Forest’s coaching team, as he plans to restructure the backroom staff at the club.

Forest are hoping that O’Neill can help lift them into the play offs, following Aitor Karanka’s departure.
Karanka had retained the support of many of the City Ground crowd, but was coming under pressure for his failure to guide Forest into the top six.
Forest are next in action at the weekend against Bristol City, when O’Neill and Keane could team up in the dugout.
