Report updates on whether Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish could be banned against West Bromwich Albion

Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion are due to meet again on Tuesday evening at the Hawthorns.

According to the Telegraph, West Bromwich Albion are insistent that Aston Vila’s Jack Grealish dived to earn a penalty against them in the first-leg.

Villa’s Grealish went down in the box under a challenge from West Brom defender Mason Holgate to earn Dean Smith’s side a penalty, which proved decisive.

Villa scored their second goal in their 2-1 victory over West Brom, with Tammy Abraham converting from 12 yards.

But Albion are not happy and feel that they have a case to suggest that Grealish deceived referee Graham Scott.

If Grealish is found guilty of simulation then Villa will be without their key man for the rest of the play offs.

However, the Telegraph claim that it is highly unlikely that the FA will take retrospective action.

Although the incident is being looked at, the FA want to see referee Scott’s report before making any decisions.

Villa and West Brom will meet again at the Hawthorns tomorrow evening.
