Tottenham Hotspur are currently negotiating with Club Brugge over Victor Wanyama.

Brugge have been trying to buy Wanyama off Tottenham, but are not prepared to meet Daniel Levy’s £17 million asking price for the midfielder.
The Belgian side are said to be willing to go to £8 million for the Kenyan international, but not beyond that.
In truth, Tottenham’s asking price does seem ambitious, given Wanyama’s poor injury record in recent seasons.
Spurs may now have to settle for a loan deal, but even that has its complications.
Brugge would be open to taking Wanyama on a temporary basis, but they cannot afford his wages, which stand at £65,000-a-week.
Spurs would, therefore, have to subsidise some of the deal to get him off their books.

It seems best for both Tottenham and Wanyama if they do part company this summer.
Wanyama has slipped way down the pecking order at Spurs now, with Oliver Skipp seemingly ahead of him.
And if he wants to play first-team football again, a move to Brugge should appeal.
