Sunderland boss David Moyes decided to leave the Stadium of Light yesterday.

According to a report in the Chronicle, Sunderland have scrapped their transfer plans following David Moyes’ departure.
Moyes resigned at the Stadium of Light yesterday, following a meeting with Ellis Short.
The Scottish boss felt that he wasn’t going to be given the funds required to push for promotion from the Championship next season.

Moyes had already made his plans for additions which he wanted to make at Sunderland.
However, these preparations have now been scrapped – with no incoming additions expected in the near future.

Sunderland’s new boss will have command over transfers, with Moyes’ targets now dropped.
How much money Sunderland will have to spend this summer remains to be seen, but they are expected to make serious alterations, as they aim to make an immediate return to the Premier League.
