Newcastle United have once again confirmed their Premier League status for next season.
According to the Chronicle, there is interest building in Newcastle United once again.
Mike Ashley has been looking to sell Newcastle for some time now, but he has not agreed a fee with any potential buyer.
Amanda Staveley and Peter Kenyon have both tried to buy Newcastle in recent times, only for their takeover attempts to fall through.
However, Rafael Benitez’s side have stayed in the Premier League again this term, which makes them an appealing prospect to investors.
Newcastle have a huge-fan base and a wonderful stadium, making them one of the teams in England with the highest potential.
And the Chronicle claims that plenty of bidders are weighing up moves for Newcastle.
However, a takeover is not particularly close right now.
It was previously claimed by Dave Kitson that Newcastle would be bought out as soon as this season ended, but those reports have been quashed.
Mark Douglas wrote in a question and answer session: “There is background noise about interest once again, and groups are jostling to get themselves in the spotlight once more.
“All I’ll say is that I know for a fact there is plenty of interest out there. I’m much more sceptical about actually getting the deal done – and I think Dave Kitson got it wrong when he said someone was ready to buy the club as soon as the season was over.”
