Tottenham Hotspur have failed to make a signing for well over a year now, since Lucas Moura came in.

Spurs had been hoping that the promise of a large transfer budget this summer would convince Pochettino to stick around at White Hart Lane.
However, Pochettino wants to see that Spurs have the ambition to match his for the years to come.
The Argentine boss wants to help Tottenham become regulars in the latter stages of the Champions League, after helping the North London side reach the final this past season.
To do so Pochettino realises that Spurs need investment and it is said that Daniel Levy will need to ensure that Tottenham will have money to spend for the years ahead to convince the popular manager to stick around.

Spurs are confident that Pochettino will stay, but the 47-year-old has been publicly challenging the club to spend more money.
And Pochettino wants assurances that he will have the freedom to bring in players for the years ahead, rather than just one summer, according to the latest reports.
