According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is still in no danger of the sack, following his side’s defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Spurs may have started the season in poor form, but Pochettino has credit in the bank after the vast improvements that he has made at the club.

Pochettino has made Tottenham an established member of the top four, despite operating on a smaller budget than many of his rivals.

The Argentine may never have been under so much pressure at Tottenham before, with some supporters now calling for him to be let go.

But the club are reportedly happy to back him to turn things around, after what has been a stick spell.

Spurs have been knocked out of the League Cup already this season, they have failed to win in the Champions League and their Premier League form is concerning.

But Pochettino has the backing of Tottenham’s board, as they feel he is the right man to take the club forward.

Spurs will hope that their turnaround starts immediately after the international break, when they take on bottom of the table Watford.
