West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has been heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium this summer.

Hernandez was linked heavily with an exit from West Ham this summer, but he has impressed Pellegrini over pre-season.
With Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll already leaving West Ham, Pellegrini has now decided he would like to keep the Maxican around.
Hernandez could perform a back-up role to Sebastian Haller this term, but whether that will keep the experienced forward satisfied is up for debate.
The £16 million striker (West Ham’s official website) would like to play a more important role, and he has been exploring the possibility of moving.
West Ham could also reportedly agree to sell Hernandez if a big offer comes in, even though Pellegrini is eager to keep him.

The Hammers are operating on a limited budget, so if they could raise big funds for a back-up player, the chance to sell could still be taken.
That seems a smart move by West Ham, as Hernandez is now 31 and his resale value is very limited.
If he is to only be kept as a back-up player his value is likely to drop dramatically this season, but selling him would leave Pellegrini’s men needing to buy another striker before the season starts.
