Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Jan Vertonghen has not been at his best so far this season.

Vertonghen has just months remaining on his current deal at Spurs, which is worth £100,000-a-week (Spotrac), and looks set to leave at the end of the season.
The Belgian has not been at his best this season, and lost his place to Davinson Sanchez in Tottenham’s last game against Liverpool.
However, it is suggested that Mauricio Pochettino’s side still want to keep Vertonghen.
Spurs are interested in offering him a new deal, and they think that it is possible that he signs a new contract with them.
If Tottenham fail to agree a deal it is claimed that Inter Milan want to take him on a free transfer.
For Spurs replacing Vertonghen once looked a hugely troublesome task, but his performances this campaign have come under question.

The 32-year-old has shown signs of age over the opening few weeks of the campaign, and he looks set to face a fight to win his place back in Tottenham’s team.
With Sanchez back in Pochettino’s starting line-up, it could be that Verrtonghen is kept on the bench for Spurs in the coming weeks, which may not aid their chances of getting him to agree new terms.
