Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers boss Graeme Murty is keen to snap up Jamie Murphy from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Murphy has been said to be on the verge of a move to Ibrox, but Rangers still have a lot of work to do to get a deal over the line.
The Brighton & Hove Albion winger has barely featured this season, with Chris Hughton looking elsewhere since his side’s promotion to the Premier League.

Rangers are keen admirers of the winger, but realise they still have a lot to do, if they are to get a deal completed before the end of the month.
Rangers are yet to make a signing in the January window, but are thought to have money to spend over the coming weeks.

If Murphy did arrive at Rangers he would be likely to step straight into Graeme Murty’s starting line-up, such is his reputation and talent.
Rangers are currently in third place in the Scottish Premiership table, with their next competitive fixture coming Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup, after the winter break.
