Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino only handed Ben Davies seven Premier League starts in 2019.

According to Football London, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino ‘adores’ Ben Davies.
Tottenham are expected to move on a left-back this summer, and it has been suggested that Danny Rose is more likely to leave than Davies.
The Welsh international only made seven starts for Tottenham in 2019 in the Premier League.
However, Pochettino is a big fan of the Welshman’s professionalism and likes his versatility.
The Spurs boss feels that Davies can cover at centre-back, and that makes him a better squad option that Rose.

The report puts Rose’s future at White Hart Lane in further doubt, as Pochettino reportedly considers selling the left-back.
Davies isn’t as talented a left-back as Rose, but the 29-year-old is unlikely to be as happy playing a covering role.
And Pochettino may be left with little choice but to let Rose go, if he does sign a left-back who he thinks can start for Spurs.
