Aston Villa are chasing a deal for Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings, according to reports.

Villa were hoping to have wrapped up a deal for Mings early this summer, but negotiations are proving complicated.
Mings spent last season on loan with Villa and played a major role in helping them earn promotion.
Dean Smith immediately made the centre-back one of his top targets, but Villa and Bournemouth have still not agreed a fee.
The centre-back is still not back in training with Bournemouth, but that has nothing to do with the transfer.

Eddie Howe has given Mings more time off, as his season was extended due to Villa playing in the play offs.
Indeed, Mings is now set to be on Bournemouth’s pre-season tour next week, when Howe’s side travel to La Manga.
That could be a blow to Villa, who still appear to have a long way to go if they are to land the £15 million man (The Sun).
