The Republic of Ireland international is understood to be on a hefty contract with the Toffees, and he may have to take a pay cut if he is to move to Hillsborough.

McGeady is desperate to play regular football again, as he looks to confirm his place in the Ireland’s Euro 2016 squad, but he is said to prefer a move to the Premier League by the Times.
The Owls are hopeful that they can persuade him to take a step down the division, but they have already been turned down in January.
