West Ham United look to be pursuing a new manager this summer.

According to Sky Sports (16:43), 30 to 40 managers have already stated their interest in becoming the new West Ham United boss this summer – and Newcastle United’s Rafael Benitez would be shortlisted.
The Hammers ended the season with a 3-1 home win over Everton, as a brace from Manuel Lanzini and a goal from Marko Arnautovic handed them a fine victory.
However, the win and Premier League survival may not have been enough for David Moyes to keep his job as West Ham boss, as his contract has now expired and no renewal looks to be forthcoming.
Now, Sky Sports report that West Ham have already seen between 30 and 40 managers express their interest in the job, after Moyes held talks with the Hammers board on Monday.

A host of managers, including Portuguese duo Marco Silva and Paulo Fonseca, are being strongly linked with the post, but the report does name one manager West Ham would want to shortlist for the position.
It’s claimed that West Ham would want Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez, in what would be an audacious swoop on their Premier League rivals.
The Spaniard worked wonders to keep Newcastle in the Premier League this season, but their worst nightmare would be to see Benitez move on and join a rival due to a lack of financial backing at St. James’ Park – and West Ham may well look to make that a reality.
