Thomas Partey will not force a move to Arsenal this summer, leaving the Gunners having to agree a fee to buy him, Goal claim.

Arsenal have made Partey their top target and the player is keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium.

However, any potential Arsenal deal is not about to be helped out by the defensive midfielder.

Partey apparently has no desire to upset Atletico Madrid, and is not about to try and force his way to the Emirates Stadium.

Instead the Ghanian, who was labelled as ‘unbelievable’ by teammate Kieran Trippier (the Beautiful Game podcast) will wait and see if Arsenal can find a way to fund a move for him.

Atleti want £44.5 million for the powerful midfielder, which is currently outside of Arsenal’s price range.

The Gunners could, however, sell players to try and raise the funds required to bring the 27-year-old to North London.

A whole host of potential players have been linked with an exit from Arsenal, and it seems that Partey’s move to Mikel Arteta’s side is now dependent on how much the club can raise from the planned sales.
