Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane are said to be the two Tottenham Hotspur players ‘upset’ over Jose Mourinho’s departure by the Telegraph.

Tottenham let go of Mourinho yesterday morning, as Daniel Levy wielded the axe following yet another disappointing result.

Mourinho is thought to have lost the support of some players in his dressing room, but both Kane and Son are said to be disheartened by his departure.

The Tottenham pair have both thrived under Mourinho’s reign, and have posted impressive scoring records.

They were also two of the first Tottenham players to send their well wishes to Mourinho on social media following the news.

Interestingly the Telegraph now says that Kane and Son were disappointed about the manner of Mourinho’s departure.

They found out via the media rather than being told personally, and there are also reportedly concerns about the timing.

Tottenham have a cup final against Manchester City at the weekend.

Daniel Levy may argue that he is hoping that Mourinho’s departure could galvanise the squad though.

Spurs have been largely abject in recent weeks, and only an improved performance will see them have a chance of success against City.
