Alasdair Gold reports on Football London’s site that Tottenham duo Ivan Perisic and Dejan Kulusevski could miss Wednesday’s clash against the K-League XI – with Perisic definitely unavailable for their first pre-season friendly.
Perisic, 33, sustained a calf issue in his final game for Inter Milan towards the end of the 2021-22 campaign. The Croatian is currently in training, but is working his way back to full fitness and will miss Wednesday’s outing.
But he might not be the only player to miss the friendly. During training on Monday, Swedish ace Dejan Kulusevski was seen leaving training early with an issue – Gold initially reporting on Twitter with a clip of him exiting the session.

Now, Gold reports that both Perisic and Kulusevski could be missing from the clash. It is likely that South Korean fans will get to see Son Heung-min in action, the captain of their national team, as well as England skipper Harry Kane.
On the right, Antonio Conte has new signing Richarlison or Lucas Moura to pick from. With Sergio Reguilon remaining at Spurs and Perisic sidelined, it looks nailed on that Ryan Sessegnon will start. Harvey White is also an option.

While Perisic was one that was always likely, losing Kulusevski at this stage will be a blow to Conte. The Italian gaffer will have been impressed with Kulusevski’s start after joining in January – but he could be even better.
That is, with a full pre-season from Conte under his belt. So, losing him at this stage could be an issue. It is yet to be seen how long the ex-Juventus and Atalanta star will be sat on the sidelines. But he might miss Wednesday.
