Two Spanish sides are ready to sign Alvaro Arbeloa when defender’s West Ham United contract expires this summer, The Sun reports (30/03, page 55).

Arbeloa has played just four times since arriving at the London Stadium last August, with a leg injury keeping him out since December.

It has been widely reported the Hammers will not extend the Spaniard’s deal beyond the summer and a return to his homeland is expected.

According to The Sun, La Liga duo Espanyol and Celta Vigo are both keen on hiring the 34-year-old, whose previous clubs include Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Arbeloa’s compatriot, Adrian, is another West Ham player set to leave when his contract expires in June, with loanees Gokhan Tore and Jonathan Calleri likely to follow the pair out of east London.
