Many Everton fans expected Moise Kean to light up the Premier League following his £29 million move from Juventus in 2019 (Guardian).
The Italian was one of the highest-rated young strikers in Europe and many lauded the Toffees for their work behind the scenes to get the deal done. However, Kean had a difficult debut season in England to say the least.
The former Juventus man played 33 games in all competitions for the Toffees last term but scored just twice. Many expected Kean to leave Goodison Park for good this summer, but the Toffees decided to loan him out.
Kean brilliant for PSG this season
Kean joined French champions PSG on a season-long loan and looks a different player. He has scored five goals in six starts so far – more than Neymar who has scored twice.
PSG apparently have no option to buy Kean at the end of the season. While that’s great news for Everton, it hasn’t stopped clubs circling the young Italian.
CalcioMercato claims PSG will try to negotiate a permanent deal for Kean if he continues this form. Sporting director Leonardo is said to be a massive fan of the striker and will try everything he can to retain his services.

Kean’s former club Juventus are also interested. The Italian champions tried to re-sign him in the summer but Everton’s demands reportedly proved too much.
Although Kean isn’t short on options, he may not get a say on the matter. The report claims Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has no interest in selling his compatriot and wants the striker back at Goodison Park once his loan spell in Paris ends.
Keeping hold of Kean would be a smart move. The Italian is only 20 and will only get better. Everton have invested good money and, if he hits the heights he’s capable of, the club could make a huge profit if they look to sell him in a few years’ time.
