Everton want Manolo Gabbiadini from the Italian side.
Manolo Gabbiadini
Reports in Italy are suggesting that Everton’s move for Manolo Gabbiadini is under threat.
Sky Sports Italia are reporting, as relayed by Football Italia, that talks between the two clubs have not gone well over the weekend.
They claim that Napoli want €25 million (£21.3m), plus another €5 million in bonuses. However, Everton have only offered €23 million (£19.6m) for the player and are not being progressive enough in their transfer negotiations.
Manolo Gabbiadini
It comes as Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis denied interest in bringing Edison Cavani back to the club this summer. He stated in an official statement that Napoli had moved on, citing Gabbiadini as a future Napoli star.
Given the apparent struggles the two clubs are having in reaching a conclusion to this deal it could very well be the case that Gabbiadini is not on his way to Everton after all.
Ronald Koeman wants to add one more attacking option to his squad before the transfer window closes next week and it seems the Italian talent was going to be that man – after missing out on Lucas Perez.
However, it appears Everton might miss out again.
