The Turkish side have been linked with Aston Villa players before.
Aston Villa striker Libor Kozak is apparently a transfer target for Trabzonspor, according to reports in Turkey.
Medya Trabzon is reporting that the Turkish side have picked out the Czech Republic international as a potential new recruit – after deciding to end the loan spell of South Korean striker Suk Hyun-jun of FC Porto.
The report claims that the Turkish side want to sign him on a free transfer, after Villa boss Steve Bruce recently admitted that the Championship club could sell the striker in January.

Bruce, speaking to the Birmingham Mail, made it clear the Czech striker was likely to be on his way out of the exit door in the January transfer window:
“He needs to go and play football, so if we could get a home for him to go and play football, that would probably be good.”
Libor Kozak cost the club a fee reported by the BBC to be in the region of £7 million back in 2013.
However, his time at the club has been unsuccessful. Despite signs of early promise a broken leg and subsequent injury issues saw his playing time restricted during his Aston Villa career and he has struggled for football at the club when fit.

But Trabzonspor seem willing to gamble on the player.
Of course, Villa fans will have heard of Trabzonspor interest in the past. They have been perpetually linked with a move for Micah Richards, most recently by Haber Turk in November. They were also linked with a move for Jordan Amavi in the summer, as reported by Fotospor.
Perhaps this time a Villa player might actually make the move to Turkey.
