Rangers boss Mark Warburton might have a fight on to keep this Ibrox star.
Rangers’ James Tavernier celebrates
Rangers may still face a fight to keep hold of their star right-back James Tavernier this month as Turkish side Trabzonspor are preparing another approach for the player.
A week ago it was reported by Lig TV that the Turkish side had identified the Rangers right-back to strengthen their team.

However, that report suggested Trabzonspor had moved on – targeting Fabian Castillo of FC Dallas instead.
It is now being reported that they have put the Rangers defender at number one on their wanted list. Diyarbakir Soz are reporting that Trabzonspor want to lure Tavernier away from Ibroz to replace Belgian Luis Pedro Cavanda, who joined Galatasaray yesterday.

The club have money to spend and Mark Warburton and co might have a task on their hand rejecting a decent bid for their attacking full-back.
But Tavernier is clearly happy in Glasgow.

He committed his future to Ibrox recently. The 24-year-old signed a new one-year extension to his current deal at Rangers at the end of July – meaning he is now tied down to the Scottish Premiership club until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Rangers are surely unlikely to sell Tavernier this summer, but if Trabzonspor make a generous bid they will have to consider it.
