Tottenham Hotspur take on Newcastle United on February 2nd, and are keen for the new ground to be ready.

Tottenham’s stadium has been delayed constantly throughout the season so far, but there are growing expectations that the ground will be ready for February.
Spurs now want to open the ground against Newcastle on February 2nd, or against Leicester a week later.
To do so Mauricio Pochettino’s side need to host test events in their new ground, before it will be passed as safe.

But as long as everything goes swimmingly over the Christmas period, Tottenham are optimistic of their ground being ready for the Champions League knockout stages.
Spurs made it through on Tuesday night in dramatic circumstances, as they claimed a point against Barcelona.
And Tottenham are hoping that they can host the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie at their new stadium on February 12th.
