Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is reportedly keen to join Manchester United this summer.

According to a report from The Sun, Toby Alderweireld is keen to join Manchester United this summer when the Tottenham defender can leave for just £25 million.
Alderweireld’s future has continued to be a major talking point for a while now, but it appears that the speculation will end this summer. The Sun reports that the release clause in the Belgian’s contract was triggered when Spurs took up the option to extend his deal by a year.
The Sun adds that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to make the 30-year-old one of his summer signings. The report suggests that contact is yet to be made, but Alderweireld is keen on heading to Old Trafford.
It would be a blow for Tottenham to lose Alderweireld. It may not be a surprise if he does go, but Spurs fans would be forgiven for holding out some hope that he may decide to stay given how important he has been this season, and how little has actually been said by those in the know regarding his future.

Mauricio Pochettino and Alderweireld have put all speculation to one side and got on with trying to make sure Spurs’ season is as successful as possible.
But it would appear that his exit is still on the cards with this latest report suggesting that he is keen to make the switch to Manchester United when his release clause becomes active.
