Tottenham Hotspur’s players are said to be stunned by Jose Mourinho’s treatment of both Gareth Bale and Dele Alli this season, the Daily Mail report.
Bale and Alli have both struggled to break into Tottenham’s team, with Mourinho calling them both out publicly at times.
Although Mourinho seems to have extended an olive branch to the pair in recent times, they have barely featured throughout the campaign.
That has caused shock among the Tottenham squad, the Mail say, with the long-term members of the team surprised by the way Mourinho has treated the two players.
There is no doubting that Alli and Bale have the quality to be effective players for Spurs, but neither have really slotted into Mourinho’s style.
The pair aren’t the most hard-working defensively on the pitch, and it is still difficult to see either of them turning their fortunes around.

Alli and Bale have both been used as substitutes lately, but they are both searching for match sharpness after so long in the wilderness.
With Tottenham so out of form, and their attack looking stifled, Mourinho’s decision to leave out the pair so often now appears questionable at best.
And it is claimed that there are now several members of Tottenham’s squad who are becoming ‘disgruntled’ in a worrying update for Mourinho, as he looks to turn results around.
