Leicester City want to sign Kim Min-jae now, although Tottenham Hotspur remain the favourites to get hold of him, 90 Minutes report.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with Min-jae throughout the summer so far, with the centre-back thought to be on Jose Mourinho’s wishlist.
Min-jae, who is valued at £12 million according to the latest update, currently plays for Beijing Guoan, but his performances in China have apparently caught the eye of Tottenham’s scouts.
90 Minutes also suggest that Heung-Min Son has been urging Daniel Levy to buy his international teammate, as he feels he would be a great addition.
Tottenham are thought to be on the hunt for a central defender, as they need to find a replacement for Jan Vertonghen.
Spurs do have some solid options at the back, but Mourinho appears to want one more centre back to call upon to complete his defence.

Leicester’s interest does complicate matters for Tottenham, as the Foxes are a very ambitious team, who will surely be challenging Mourinho’s side for a European spot this term.
But it seems that Spurs are still ahead of Leicester in the race for the time being.
