According to The Sun, Nuno Espírito Santo is a huge fan of Wolves maestro Ruben Neves, but it looks like he could be joining Arsenal.
What’s the story?
Well, the 24-year-old was actually signed by Nuno, while Wolves were in the Championship.
It was one of the biggest transfer moves made by a Championship club, as Wolves paid £15.8m to take FC Porto’s captain away from them.
Neves helped Wolves and Nuno out of England’s second tier, and has since gone on to cement himself as one of England’s classiest playmakers.
In total, the 22-cap Portugal international has made 194 appearances under Nuno, with some coming in the Champions League while at FC Porto.
Sadly, it seems Ruben Neves won’t be joining Spurs

The Sun mention that Neves and Nuno both share the same agent, Jorge Mendes.
As aforesaid, the report also claims Nuno remains a huge fan of the Wolves No.8.
However, The Sun firmly state that he’s unlikely to join Tottenham.
Mendes is in talks with Arsenal’s Sporting Director Edu over a £35m deal for the deep-lying midfielder.

In our view, Nuno definitely shouldn’t ask Daniel Levy to fight Arsenal for Neves, despite his admiration for the £50,000-a-week man.
Tottenham already have Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko as options in midfield.
In that respect, a move for Neves would be a waste of money, from our point of view.
