Tottenham Hotspur’s Nonso Madueke is reportedly set to join PSV Eindhoven.
According to Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV Eindhoven are set to snap up Tottenham Hotspur teenager Nonso Madueke, with a medical scheduled this week.
Tottenham may have a reputation for developing young players, particularly under Mauricio Pochettino, but they are losing talents this summer.
19-year-old left winger Keanan Bennetts left the club for Borussia Monchengladbach, and concerns continue over the future of striker Reo Griffiths amid interest from clubs in Germany, Italy and Spain.
Now, Eindhovens Dagblad report that Nonso Madueke is also set to leave Tottenham, as he will be penning a deal with PSV Eindhoven this week.
It’s claimed that Madueke, 16, is pencilled in for a medical later this week, and is set to pen a three-year deal with the Dutch giants after a lengthy pursuit of his signature.
Madueke’s contract expires this summer and he will seemingly head to the Netherlands – much like Spurs defender Christian Maghoma, who recently joined Twente on trial – in a bid to further his career.
Back in April, the Daily Mail reported that Manchester United were looking to raid Spurs for Madueke, having seen him refuse a new deal to stay with the North London club.
Now though, the talented midfielder will be playing his football with PSV, and Tottenham may just be concerned that a couple of their prospects have chosen to move on to Europe rather than stay with the club.
