Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele is attracting attention from the Chinese Super League.

Dembele has been a focal point of Spurs’ midfield during Mauricio Pochettino’s time with the club, and the Belgian reminded supporters of how influential he remains, despite his battles with injury, as he played a starring role in the North London derby win over Arsenal at the weekend.

Nevertheless, The Sun reports that Beijing Guoan are considering making a move and are willing to offer the 30-year-old a three-year contract worth £160,000 a week – more than double what the former Fulham ace earns at the moment.
The Sun adds that Tottenham have no plans to sell Dembele, so it would perhaps fair to suggest that it would be down to the player to make it clear that he wants to go if he wants to secure a move away from the Premier League this month.

Would Dembele want to go?
Given that Dembele has been such a key part of Tottenham’s squad and journey over the last few years, it certainly seems extremely difficult to imagine that he would not want to stay and spend as long as he can contributing to the team in the hope that he can help Spurs clear that final hurdle that is separating them from becoming regular trophy winners.
The North London derby proves that he definitely has plenty to offer Pochettino’s side, so it would be a huge shock if he was particularly tempted by the offer. Though if he is keen to make as much money as possible before the end of his career, he may struggle to not give the offer some serious thought.
