The Premier League side have already made a couple of offers for the 21-year-old.

A report in the London Evening Standard has claimed that Tottenham’s latest bid for Pau Lopez had seen them offer to take the goalkeeper on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
The bid – which was rejected by Espanyol – would have seen the 21-year-old move to White Hart Lane for a season for a fee of £450,000 and would have included a clause that would have allowed Spurs to make the deal permanent for £6m in the summer, the London Evening Standard reports.

The latest offer comes after their £3m bid – which would have involved a permanent move to North London this summer – was turned down by the La Liga side.
The London Evening Standard also suggests that Espanyol have rejected Tottenham’s loan bid as they feel that with another campaign in Spain under his belt, they will be able to earn a lot more for him, even though he will be heading into the final year of his contract this time next year.

Though Michel Vorm has done well since coming in for Hugo Lloris, it is hardly surprising that Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign someone like Pau in the near future.
The Spain under-21 international should have his best years ahead of him, and yet he is already playing regularly at the highest level so clearly has huge amounts of potential.
But with Espanyol clearly aware of that, Spurs will have to increase their offer if they hope to bring him to the club before the window shuts.
