Tottenham Hotspur want Lucas Beltran and the River Plate attacker is understood to have a €25million release clause in his deal.
River Plate will fear losing striker Lucas Beltran with Tottenham Hotspur among the clubs interested in his signature.
Beltran has become a man in demand with TNT Sports reporting that Atletico Madrid, Napoli, AC Milan and Tottenham all want him.
River lost Julian Alvarez to Manchester City in 2022 and would hate to see another talented forward leave.
However, El Futbolero note that River may not have much of a say due to a release clause in Beltran’s contract.
It’s stated that Beltran can leave River for a set fee of €25million (£22million) – around £8million more than City paid for Alvarez.
Whether anybody actually comes forward to pay that kind of money remains to be seen but it will be valuable information for the interested teams.

There was real hype surrounding Alvarez during his time at River, making him a household name in Europe long before he even arrived.
That isn’t quite the case for Beltran, even though he is now starting to attract major interest.
Beltran was born in Cordoba and started out with Instituto before joining the River ranks at the age of just 15.
After an 18-month loan spell with Colon, Beltran has now become a first-team regular at El Monumental.
Beltran has hit eight goals in 21 games this season and his total record for River now stands at 14 goals and five assists in 64 games.
The 22-year-old is predominantly a striker but has been used out wide on occasion.
Beltran has yet to make a first appearance for Argentina on the international stage and could yet switch to play for Italy – just like Mateo Retegui.
Beltran is far from the finished product and does need to find the net more regularly to become a top star in Europe.
Tottenham do need to think about attacking talents for the future amid concerns over Harry Kane’s long-term future though and Beltran could be one option having witnessed Alvarez’s quality for City.
